Description
This collage is inspired by one of my favorite songs ever: "Für mich soll's rote Rosen regnen" by Hildegard Knef (Neff)

"Rain Red Roses" is a very nostalgic work. The woman is looking back in time. To a land like it once was and doesn't exist any more. To a culture that over decades has disappeared in the fast-moving consumer society and nowadays in the globalisation. It's a a winter scene. Vineyards without fruits. A landscape without people. The only witnesses of cultural history and identity are the ancient buildings.

Congratulations on this special feature "Images that tell a Story" in the Women Photographers group, for 3-28-2018. Selections were curated from images that had been in the group for quite some time, some dating back to 2013. Most all chosen were those that made me curious enough to look closer at the image and discover the stories behind them. You are invited to archive this image in the discussion for members titled "Images that tell a Story." Thank you for your participation in our group!
